A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Welcome to the Waterloo Region Law Association.

Founded in December 1894 – over 125 years ago with just 36 lawyers – the Waterloo Region Law Association has grown into a thriving community of over 600 lawyers and paralegals from Waterloo, Kitchener and Cambridge and surrounding townships of North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmont and Woolwich.

The Waterloo Region Law Association is aimed at representing the interests of legal practitioners practicing in Waterloo Region through our team of law librarians and a collection of resources at a local law library, continued professional development through local programming, and the ongoing development of a collegial bar through our various committees and social events, as well as the development of practice groups that focus on specific areas of import to our members, including: Corporate Law, Real Estate, Estates, Family Law, International Law, Criminal Law, Employment Law, and our newest practice group, Female Mentorship and Engagement for Practitioners of Waterloo Region. 

Our Association prides itself in the efforts to connect practitioners and bring them together, whether new lawyers or seasoned advocates, the Waterloo Region Law Association has several events throughout the year including our Opening of the Courts, our Golf Tournament, our Annual General Meeting, and Thirsty Thursdays rotating among local establishments.
